Welcome to the latest newsletter from ‘About Them Shoes’!
We have been eagerly waiting and preparing for July for some time now as it promises to be a busy, exciting month for the band. We hope that you will be part of it and help us share the excitement as there are two festivals and our second Brickmakers gig to look forward to, and in this newsletter we’ve also got some new dates to tell you about.
Just in case you missed out on the second newsletter our gig at The Brickies is being recorded for a live CD, so we would really love as many of our friends as possible to be there and make some noise! The band are due on stage at 9 pm and will be performing two sets of around 50 minutes each with a break in between. For those of you who have been following the band since day one there might be a special treat for you on the night – but you need to be there to find out what it is! The Brickies is on the Thursday and two days later we are the opening act for the Muso Festival held on the Old Buckenham High School playing field. The set here will be around 45 minutes, so if you want to see the performance be there in good time!
Later in the month we are the final band to perform at The Appleyard Fayre, an event that gets bigger and better every year. It’s held in the field adjoining the Banham Barrel and we will be playing for an hour starting at 9.30 approximately. There will be lots to do and see at the Fayre, so come along nice and early to hear and see as many of the performers as you can, as well as sampling the food and local arts/crafts on show this year.
New dates for your diary
We have recently secured two more dates at Bar 33 in Attleborough on 24th October and the 12th December. It was also great to get our first booking at The Dickleburgh Crown for 28th September, and it’s one we are really looking forward to. These are all on our About Them Shoes website which is always kept up to date with any additional dates. We are also looking to get some private functions booked into our diary, so if you know of a party going on we would love to be there to get up and play!!
